I am Rohini Rao, a Second Year Computer Engineering student, pursuing my degree from the International Institute of Information Technology, Pune.

I was raised in the culturally rich city of Pune also known as the Oxford of the East. Born in a family of engineers, I always had the interest to learn about computers. When I was a child, I spent a lot of time on the computer program, ELIZA the chatterbot, and I would always wonder how a machine is capable of carrying a conversation with me. This inspired me to pursue a career where I can build applications much more capable than ELIZA.

For college, I took up Computer Engineering as it would be the best stream for me to develop my skills. I started learning Python, C, C++ and since then I have started exploring the domains of Data Science, Machine Learning, Computer Vision, and Robotics. I’m also taking steps to be an Open Source contributor. My friend and I have started a community for beginners in coding known as Rookee Coders.

I’m looking forward to getting into app development with Flutter and exploring deeper into the domains of Deep learning and Computer Vision.
